FULL DAY: 9:00am - 4:30pm
HALF DAY: 12:30pm - 4:30pm

Full Day tickets go on sale at 8:00am and may also be purchased the night before from 8:00 to 9:00pm in the Rental Department. Twilight & Half Day tickets available at 12:00pm, Night tickets available at 5:00pm.

Multi-Day ski rentals are available for up to 5 days. Adults are $20 per day, children 11 & under are $12 per day.

Important Information Regarding College Rates
Please note: College IDs MUST be current and dated in order to receive the discount. If your school does not print the date on the IDs or issue IDs, then you MUST bring a photo ID and valid paperwork (i.e. dated school schedule) indicating that you are a current student.

  • College discounts will only apply to students of colleges or universities in North Carolina or Tennessee.
  • Rates apply Monday - Thursday, days; Sunday - Thursday, Nights non-holiday.
  • Please remember your ID's. Student is required. If your school does not use a photo ID the student may use the college ID and a driver's license to receive the discount. All college ID's must have the year date clearly printed on them.
  • Discount rates do not apply on all Friday, Saturday and Sunday sessions or Monday sessions during the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, or President's Day weekend.

  • Applies to Avery, Ashe, Watauga, Mitchell, Carter, and Johnson County students and teachers only.
  • Proof of residency must be presented. (school ID, report card, letter from school, parents drivers license)
  • The Sugar Bear program is for kids ages 5-10.
  • The Polar Bear program is for kids ages 7-14.
  • There is a $400 deposit (cash/credit card) on snowboard rentals.

IMPORTANT: Your lift ticket is non-refundable and non-transferable. The Resort does not assume any responsibility for lost lift passes. No replacements. Everyone must have a valid lift ticket at all times to enter any slope system. No grace period at Sugar Mountain ski area. Management reserves the right to revoke ticket for misconduct. All prices and policies subject to change without notice.
